Had a great time at the MFA yesterday with Tim. We got there early, before the lines were truly horrendous, and as I was getting a membership a nice concierge whisked us to the Members' Desk to get us in so we could avoid the wait. We explored the collections for nearly three hours. My heart said "hello" to my old friends in the painting and Egyptian galleries -- Van Gogh's Ravine, the Coffin of Tabes, and the gorgeous ancient beadwork. and I made some new friends with Piranesi and Picasso, too. We saw an intriguing exhibit on wearable technology -- really inventive stuff. It was great to be able to share it all. While it was raining when we arrived, when we left it was a gorgeous summer day. The top-down ride home in the car delivered a sunburn - BONUS!
I left with a plethora of photos and ideas that I'd like to investigate further in my sketchbook, which waits for me on my art table. So much inspiration for one day! With fifteen full days of school left, I should be ready to explode by the start of summer break. Cheers!
