Before the show we had dinner. So did the Trashies! We met a fellow fan who said "Wouldn't it be great to go over and say Hi?" but he was too nervous. My middle school teacher self jumped in and I went over and talked to the group. They were super nice and lo and behold, Frank's wife teaches 6th grade English in Pasadena, CA. They were so friendly and funny I had them sign my arm. Why? I dunno, really. Just fun to be silly. Frank wrote "Be nice to your teacher!" What a hoot. The last song we stayed for was my fave (and their most popular) "Opportunity Knocks" -- before which Frank said "This is for all you teachers out there" and smiled our way. Blast indeed, worth getting about 4 hours of sleep. At one point he thanked the crowd for coming out and added "It's hard to go out. Really. It's hard to go out." So true. The older we get...
Earlier in the day Amanda Palmer's Lexington tickets went on pre-sale to Patreon members and I snagged a set. Before hitting the sack at 1am, an email came in with news of a Squeeze show in October, tix on sale Friday. Have to investigate presale for that show today. A musical trifecta! Music is my medicine, and looks like I'll be healthy for a while longer :) Cheers!
