I'ts cold.
It's wet out here.
The sun is too hot.
I don't get it. I don't want to get it.
My allergies are bothering me.
Why do I have to go out? I don't want to go out.
This is boring.
My phone is dead.
I can't get a signal.
I don't know about you, but if I were trapped in a classroom all day I'd jump at the chance to get outside and do something - anything - that would make the day a bit more interesting. Not saying their other teachers are boring as they are not -- it is just that shaking up the routine a but is good for everyone. Granted, my students are truly awesome and 99% of the complaints will come from two of the 25 kids. I can't wait to see what they do. I am hoping they can transfer some of the understandings gained through working with CorelDraw and Photopaint to the app I had them download (Autodesk Sketchbook). We shall see! This is an unexpected moment of curricular and instructional growth that presents itself thanks to PARCC testing...thanks, I think? Ummm, no. One benefit is that I will be walking a whole lot more today as kids like to spread out and fill the largest geometric area possible as opposed to sitting near each other when given the chance to do so. My step count should be great!
What will you make today?
