On that note, while I sip my coffee and lick my many wounds and hope I don't have to make an Urgent Care visit for ATB's, I am excited about seeing a band tonight from the 90's that I never got to see back then. The Trashcan Sinatras are in town! So excited to hear their sweet harmonies and jangly guitars. LOVE LOVE LOVE their music! Will listen to them today to promote good energy (I need it to heal all these flesh wounds, lol!)
Art share today: Michelle Kingdom. Her art is really neat -- simple in format, beautifully represented on her website. Uncluttered. Very focused. Easy to grasp. Her figures are characters in psychological dramas, and the embroideries themselves are not covered in excessive mark making. She includes just what is needed to tell the story. A very different approach that my own. Little vignettes. I wish I knew the scale of the work, though, to fully appreciate what the objects are. I like the scale of her stitches and the simplicity of the figures. Enjoy!
