Creative link of the day is to another online C&G textile program I came across last night called Stitchbusiness. This site offers City and Guilds diploma programs in all of the basic textile art areas. Looks like so much fun! Ah, someday.
pent time last night doing something fun despite having a million other things to do. Sometimes you just have to do this sort of thing. I have plywood gates as part of the TCS (Toby Containment System) that I've wanted to finish in some way. Being a fan of brightly colored papers from India, Indonesia, and China, and having seen a nice example of this at Create Artisan Studio, I went to town on the gates. Didn't take long, and the initial result is nice. Needs some shellac to attempt to protect it from Toby the Wonder Dog, but overall adds a little visual spark to one of many drab spots in my house. Viva Papier Mache! It is kind of liberating to have cabinet fronts that you know are destined for the trash heap. I think I need to play more in here to make it more interesting. Oh the possibilities. Creative link of the day is to another online C&G textile program I came across last night called Stitchbusiness. This site offers City and Guilds diploma programs in all of the basic textile art areas. Looks like so much fun! Ah, someday. The boost of prednisone has left the building and the bod is stiff and sore again. The skin reaction is calming down, though, and here's to hoping today is a manageable day. Methinks it's going to be a long one...but it is nice to know when I get to work I have a huge to do list and the best, funniest, sweetest kids in the world to work with. Game on!
