Today I'm posting another article based on the recent study of the positive effects of drawing, just plain ole' drawing, on the brain. I like this article because it breaks down the information more clearly than others I've seen and identifies the areas of the brain that benefit from drawing, and what they do. This article is from Printmag.com and is written by Robin Landa. Good stuff! Makes me appreciate drawing even more. I've been feeling stressed out lately and need to take time to shift gears and draw. It is hard to find time, which sounds silly for someone who spends their days in the art classroom, but it is the truth! Every minute of class time is spent addressing immediate and extended student needs. I think I am ready for summer!
