Fourteen days left in the school year. Fourteen. OMG. How does this happen so fast? I think time is a trick. The older I get, the faster it all goes. When I think of how days used to drag by when I was a kid, or even a young adult, I am amazed. I used to feel it was an awesome task to fill each hot summer day, so I repeatedly traipsed to the library for a big stack of books to digest. Hours and hours spent in my hot, stuffy upstairs bedroom reading and then finding needlework to fill the time. Hours seemed endless. Now I don't have enough of them! I still want to collapse with a stack of books, but usually have my ipad or phone instead, and only a few minutes before getting to tired before going to sleep. It just isn't the same. At least I now have Kizzy, who ensures that I will not oversleep and waste any days lolling around as he will wake up the neighborhood with his demands for brekkie. And the rest of the farm ensures there is never a dull, albeit relaxing, moment on hand! Bring on the long, unfilled days of summer. Seems that I can't wait this year.
My art is knocking and wants to get out!!
