Back to normality again, gratefully with an IV shot of prednisone to add a little energy to the day. I'm going to need it as the car needs digging out. It is still snowing. I am grateful that it is light and fluffy, and a slowly accumulating type of snow. Although since I left it on the car since 2pm yesterday, I am not sure how light and fluffy it is going to be...uh oh!
Dreamed of fabric last night. I love dreams like that. Colors, textures, threads, pieces. Couldn't see what was being made, but the process was enjoyable. I am listening to a neat audio book called The Strangler Vine by M.J. Carter about two East India Company workers that have to get immersed in the Indian jungle to find a missing author of a notorious, offensive and potentially dangerous text. The descriptions of the Indian Maharaja's court and clothing is fabulous and must have inspired dreams of vibrant colors and textures. Pearls, rubies, sapphires, and emeralds. Oh my.
Today a quick post from a kindred spirit artist who was posted on the Through Our Hands Facebook page yesterday. Artist Karen Neal has a series of lino prints of...you guessed it...parrots. Parakeets, cockatiels, and more. I especially like the multi-color reduction print of the rare orange bellied parrot. I am posting this image here off of Facebook, but can not locate an official website for this fine parrot artist. Here is a link to her adorable and really natural parakeet prints. Look her up on Facebook for more parrot art fun!
Enjoy the day!
