The best part of the exhibit was the Heritage Room where my friends were showing their artwork as part of the Wakefield Arts Collaborative group (which I now hope to join as it looked like fun.) The intricate and lovely work of Judy Hartman was there, as was the lady herself (Hi Jooooody). Classy, and the word "cute" didn't come to mind once when seeing the artwork (ha ha to you, Judy.) Create was beautifully represented as well, and Pam Perras' gorgeous oils were even more amazing in person than in digital form. Brava ladies, brava! (Photo Credit to Judy!)
The art trip was followed up by a trip to Harrington' Irish Pub for what have to say was some of the worst quality beer I've tried to drink in my life. First we tried Smithwicks, which was flat and tasted like melted ice cubes. After we simultaneously agreed it was too ick to consume we told the waitress who got us fresh ones. Better, but not great. I had a Guinness next, and even that had no tongue tingle. It is very disappointing to go to an Irish pub and not be able to get a fresh beer. Tim and I agreed that despite the nice atmosphere we would never go back. I mean really -- clean the taps! Waste a beer or two if it sits too long! DO SOMETHING. Sadly, I bet the BudLight tap (if they had one) was fine as that is probably what people consume most. Sad. I felt stupid sending a beer back and finding fault with the replacements, but hey, this is beer we are talking about. Sigh.
TGIF. It is Hapi Friday! Hapi has a reddish nostril this morning, either because of the red colored toy we played with the other night or because he picked it. Or someone else picked it for him. Will watch it this morning and see if Carol needs to see it, too. He's due back for a re-check visit with bloodwork, so we shall see. It never ends. Cheerio!
