As I write this morning, the usual pug snoring is coming from the kitchen doggie beds where all three pups are happily sleeping away. I am sure they'd prefer the previous bed location as it was up against a baseboard heater, but hey. There are things in my life I'd prefer, too. They will survive. It has been really nice coming home from work for the past two days without being confronted with Toby's...ahem...artwork. I actually got to do artwork last night! And on Sunday! I have to be more thoughtful and consistent about where he can and can not go in this house for my own productivity and mental survival. Taking charge of a situation. The End.
Off to get my fingerprints done today to prove I am not a felon and make an identity company $50 richer. I think I picked the wrong industry to be part of. Every teacher has to pay for this service...that is a lot of cash!
On that note, it is getting late and Hapi is ushering me along into my day with the vocal soundtrack of my hectic morning. Here's artist Barbara Watler from Florida (Not the UK!) who has created a neat series of textile pieces based on fingerprints. Very cool stuff! The organic shapes of the fingerprints are appliqued. Really neat.
Happy Hump Day!
