The cold is moving in with my good friend Jeannette noticing flurries in her back yard. Such negativity on her part. Crisp, nice air that is good to sleep in, though, no matter how cold my feet might be. The window is open just a crack. It is so comfortable. The older I get the faster seasons change. While I love the colors of fall, I dislike the knowledge that it is the last burst of energy before a long, colorless winter. And after last winter, it borders on the frightening. Time to hibernate with fabric, threads, and stitches. Ah, love.
On deck is another fine Monday and a busy week. Regular house to-dos are done, might be able to dig in a bit deeper if the energy allows. Want to finish up the small art pieces that I've been embellishing, like, forever, and get them "out there" into the world. Holiday art season is coming up, too. So much to do, little time! Yesterday I made a run to A.C. Moore and indulged in some gorgeous cotton stitching threads in sumptuous colors that counteracted the knowledge that the cold weather is on its way. Had to use a $10 store coupon, so the indulgence was free, too. Even better! Yummy variegated threads in two different textures -- lime greens, deep indigo-blues, yummy orange and violets. Delicious. Can't wait to get stitching!
What will you make today?
