Yesterday I saw my rheumatologist who recommends changing the Rituxan back to Remicade. I haven’t been on it in about 8 years, and hope there is no reaction when I get it again. This will help the gut more than the RA, we think, but since the RA is mostly “just pain” that is the way we have to go, at least for now. Onward to appointment #2 with a pain doc today. Hoping it goes well.
An art link today!! Really! Last night a FB pal posted a cool link (here) about a skeleton shaped piece of graphite that vibrates on a table to make drawings. Pretty neat. Connected to that was a link to embroidery artist Britt Hutchinson who focuses on skeletons, too. Day of the Dead imagery, very appropriate. I like that Hutchinson talks about the time it takes to create stitched work, and also that she drops an f-bomb in the article. Stitch sista gotta get the energy out somewhere.
I did stitch for an hour last night on one of the new pieces. Felt so good. The rest of the housework waited patiently for me to get to it today. Hoping that I can do SOMETHING around here this afternoon and also get a little art time. I really need it. It is my unwinding. But, alas, the Feline Security Forces successfully apprehended a tiny mouse at some point last night, leaving it by the back door so I could find it (thank you boys for not bringing it up to me instead!) Why, oh why do they eat the heads of mice? So ghastly. But I won’t judge as long as they do their super-hero kitty work and keep my house secure. It is getting cold, the mice are looking for a warm bed, too. Poor little things. Remicade is made from mouse DNA. My permeable mid-19th century house must be Valhalla for the tiny things. So, there are definitely floors to wash today as well as bedding. Busy day, game on. Cheers.
