Hoping for a fun day with the kids, working on clay projects in the seventh grade, drawing in the sixth grade, and watercolor in the eighth grade. Life is good!

Happy but late night night last night. Met up with a good friend that lives overseas and travels here for work once or twice a year. Whenever he comes here, we go out and catch up. So nice to see him in person instead of just phone or email. We laugh together and talk about life...share stories since we saw each other last, and always seem to reflect on the fact that it will be ten years of friendship next March. Where did the decade go? His parents are ageing, his job is still sending him all over the world, he is still a meticulous and stubborn engineer-type. The biggest news that he surprised me with last month via email was that he became a father. This news, coming from a man that has adamantly sworn he would never get married or have kids for the last ten years, was shocking and such a positive turn. He is with a terrific woman that he loves, and now has a new little lady to look after as well. I can not imagine being a new parent at 49, but power to him. Hearing his new dad diaper stories was funny enough, let alone his quick witted responses to the craziness of my own life. If laughter keeps us healthy, I should be a marathon runner this morning. Instead, I overslept a bit and am pokey with my daily writing. Not getting any younger, I guess! Hoping for a fun day with the kids, working on clay projects in the seventh grade, drawing in the sixth grade, and watercolor in the eighth grade. Life is good! What will you make today?
