Short posting today as I have to whip this place in gear and get going quickly this morning to ensure I am ready for my classes today. Being the first week back to work and being sick all week, the house is exceptionally unkempt. As am I. Oh, bother. Today I have a link to another interesting UK textile artist -- Anne Brooke. Her light and airy textile collages reflect her love of nature. Her subdued and limited palette suggests a walk in nature, crunching dried leaves, crisp winter skies. Like we have now. Simple stitched contours float over backgrounds assembled with harmonious tones...resulting in really pretty art. After all, art being pretty is not a bad thing.
Enjoy!
