Before bed I started reading a neat e-book that I downloaded for free from the HayHouse website. The Top Ten Things Dead People Want To Tell You. I only read the first couple chapters, but it is powerful stuff! The author, Mike Dooley, examines the essence of life and death itself in an upbeat, conversational style. Big heavy concepts dismantled and explained according to his theories as if it was a talk over coffee. I thought it would be a collection of seance-like experiences the author had to share, but instead provides an overall lens through which to view this thing called life. Intriguing to say the least. Reminded me of the long conversations I have with my buddy Dona over the nature of existence, and I feel sure she'd love this book. Must send it her way.
As I look around the house I notice every messy surface that needs cleaning. All of 'em. Floors. Walls. Windows. Bird cages. Just another day in Prednisone induced paradise! While shopping yesterday I got some deliciously lemon scented Lysol cleaning stuff to use on the floors. Anything is better than Toby Stink. Oy Vey. Getting a vacation appropriate late start today, but hope to get some things done this morning. Hoping to fit some time in to play with that canvas idea I sketched out in my sleep last night, though...gotta have hope, at least. Cheers to another day of muddling through with sub-par energy and health.
